Moves In The Field

Moves in the
Field include some of the basic skating moves, as well as
some slightly more complicated field moves, and incorporates
them into footwork patterns which the skaters must perform.
"Moves in the field" is a name given to elements of figure
skating that emphasize basic skating skills and edge
control. In the context of a competitive program, moves in
the field includes spirals, spread eagles, and similar
extended edge moves. Moves in the
Field are based on the skaters current level. You need a private coach to instruct the skater as to what these
specific skills are. If you need more information on how to
obtain a private coach please visit the
private lessons page.
Moves
in Field sessions are currently being held on Wednesday
afternoons. Please check the figure skating
schedules for
times and more information. (Times are subject to change)
