Mice on Ice

Mice on Ice is a delightful hour of fun for pre-schoolers, ages 3-5.  Our highly skilled instructors place an emphasis on the tot's familiarity with the ice and skating development in a relaxed and safe environment.

Rink Rats
A youth development program for ages 3-5

While classes are in mid-session, it's not too late to sign up for the next session! This program is often the next step after students have  successfully completed the Mice on Ice Program or a
class in Skate School. The only program requirements
are the skater's ability to stand on the ice, skate forward
and stop on his or her own.  This is a wonderful skating
program for youths ages 3-5 and teaches them the fundamentals
of hockey.

Homeschool Skate Academy 
NEW!!

This is a new learn to skate program at the Cary Ice House.  It is held on Friday afternoons.  Classes are currently in session, you can sign up for the next session.

It's a GREAT program to network with other homeschool families, meet new friends, and have FUN!

Yes, we are called the "Homeschool" Skate Academy, and we are primarily homeschoolers, but our skate school is open to everyone.. not just homeschoolers.  You can join us in the summer if you like, or if you have a small child that is not in school yet and you want to take lessons during the day you are more than welcome to join us. We have adult classes also.

Figure Skating Bridge Program

Team Cary Bridge Program is an introductory figure skating program offering skaters the opportunity to learn a broader assortment of skating skills in a fast paced, group lesson environment.  In addition to the standard Basic Skills and freestyle curriculum taught in Skate School, the Bridge curriculum will introduce participants to the various other disciplines, including dance, artistry, choreography, footwork, power skating, synchronized team skating, and moves-in-the field.

Hockey Basics 1 & 2

This 7-week instructional program is offered to children who have basic skating skills and are interested in learning basic hockey skills.  Students learn proper stance, forward and backward skating, edge control, stops, shooting, stick handling, position, and team play.  It's lots of fun, so come and join us on Sunday afternoons.
